Lake County Forest Preserve Tree and Shrub Sale 2021
Glenmore Woods has been invited to participate in the Lake County Forest Preserve Tree and Shrub sale 2021. Please see the Excel Spreadsheet Tree and Shrub Order Form. All the prices are estimates and include delivery. The Lake County Forest Preserve needs all orders by February 15, 2021. Payment is due at the time of delivery. Please email all order forms to Joe Sturonas (jasturon <at> gmail dot com), and we will send one order for all of Glenmore Woods.

Lake County Forest Preserve Trail Work
The Lake County Forest Preserve will be installing some trees and shrubs within the Middlefork Savanna trail easement parcel. The preliminary work for that started on Thursday, September 24th. There are multiple areas within Middlefork that will be planted – the delivery of plants and actual installation will begin on Monday, September 28th.
In Addition, there have been some contractors (hired by North Shore Sanitary District) working on the sewer line that parallels the trail a little further south of Glenmore Woods that is ongoing.

Glenmore Woods Street Repavement 2020
UPDATE 7-13-2020: Curb removal and replacement as well as drainage repairs are slated to start the week of 7-13-2020. Damaged sections of the concrete curb will be removed and replaced and select drainage structures will be repaired. There is not a set date for milling of the existing pavement at this time, but it will follow the concrete repairs.
On May 13th at 7:00 pm, Ben Metzler, Village of Green Oaks engineer, and Bernard Wysocki, Village of Green Oaks President, provided a very informative webinar on the scope and the continuing Road Improvement Project for 2020. The entire webinar can be replayed here, but in this post, I tried to capture the information relevant to Glenmore Woods.
